Solar Charge Controller- Best way to save your battery

Today the popularity and use of solar energy has reached its ultimate level. People are aware of the fact that the fossil fuels are going to end soon. So we need to move on to a source which is not harmful to nature and never ending. Solar energy provides gives us both and also it is for free. Solar charge controller is one of the best applications of solar energy.

Components of solar power devices:-

Solar charge controller is mainly used for controlling the charge in the batteries. It helps for regulating the charge inside the battery and also works for the voltage fluctuations. There are several components of a solar powered home. The individual components have their specific properties and working. Many people have some confusion about the working of the solar home power system. They think that just buying the solar panels and wiring them in their houses with the electrical wires is required for its working. But it is not so easy.
The components of a solar powered home are:-

1. Solar panels
2. Solar charge controllers
3. House batteries
4. Power Inverter
5. Electrical box
6. Cut off switches
7. Fuses and
8. Wire

Solar panels are used for absorbing the light energy. Solar panels consist of silicon chips which absorbs the sunlight when it is exposed to sun. It mainly transfers the charge to the battery. The absorbed light is converted to DC charge which is stored inside the battery. The solar charge controller controls the flow of the charge and restricts them from flowing in both the direction. Inverter mainly works for changing the DC charge into AC which is used for the household appliances. The wires, switches and electrical box are required to connect them through which the charge can be transferred to the main switch. In this way the total solar home power system and charge controller works.

Working of a solar charge controller:-

Solar charge controller for the home purposes requires the wind turbines. They pay two vital roles. First is to regulate the process of charging and second is to redirect the excess power that is created when the batteries have reached its excess power of charge. Some tactic is used which is also known as diversion load or dump load. With the help of wind turbines you can turn off the charging when they are fully charged. When it is overcharged it gets heated up destroying the maximum components. So solar charge controller monitors and regulates the flow of current and production of electricity.
